1908 1st edition printing hardcover of Harry Rountree illustrated version of this timeless classic. Scarcer red cover variant. Gilt top edge. Book is complete with all pages. 248[pp]. Obviously wonderful illustrations throughout.
Hardcover would benefit from professional restoration. This is an incredible book but needs some attention.&...nbsp; The boards have wear and soiling, rubbed corners. The cover has detached from the rear board along the spine and is only attached to the front board. The spine is loose and 3 pages are completely detached and laid in. Page 17, 31, and 32. Page 241/242 has a small piece missing along the border which has not impacted text or illustrations. Previous owner inscription to ffep. 2" paper loss on bottom of half-title page.
