A Sowerby Vitro-Porcelain basket in turquoise, a light blue milk glass, produced in the late 1870's. 3 3/4" d. handle to handle. 3" h. including handles. The Sowerby peacock head mark can be found on the interior bottom surface. Some tiny dark sandy inclusions throughout, mostly on the interior surface, a couple of tiny open pinpoint air bubbles, and some dark soot on the base rim, all from the making. Perhaps a tiny pinpoint nick on the edge of... the base rim, but could also be an open air bubble. Even under magnification, I can't tell if it's one or the other. Otherwise, no chips, cracks, repairs, deep scratches, or other damage or defects of significance. Unless buyer and seller mutually agree to alternate arrangements, the shipping carrier and delivery method is seller's choice. International delivery is available exclusively through the GSP program. Local, in-person pickup is not available. Special shipping or packaging requests, including but not limited to adherence to specific packaging instructions or use of specific carriers or delivery methods, can usually be honored but must be approved by seller prior to purchase. Excess costs incurred to accommodate such requests will be quoted to buyer in advance and included on the final invoice. Thank you for visiting.
