. . . IBM Personal System/2 Color Display CRT Monitor Model 8515 001 I've decided to part out my vintage IBM computer systems. This monitor will be the first item. I've seen a few 8513 monitors now and then on eBay but I don't think I've ever seen an 8515.
This is the luxury model of the IBM 85xx series of monitors. It has the contrast and brightness controls mounted under the CRT ...along with the power button. The monitor is practically mint with the exception of some slight scaring on the back (see image 10). Other than that everything is perfect. The base is included along with the power cable. The VGA cable and connector is flawless.
I've owned this monitor since 1994 when I acquired it from an office setting at a local plastics firm. They wanted a bigger monitor so I took this monitor as a partial trade. I know the complete history of the monitor ... it has been pampered its entire life. I initially kept the monitor because of its small size (fit nicely on my work bench). After a while I had it so long that it became part of my IBM collection.
Included with the price is my cost for packing and shipping. This little guy is HEAVY and will require LOTS of packing to make sure it arrives to you safe and sound. I will absolutely make sure this monitor arrives to you undamaged. I know the value of this vintage monitor to a collector. I'll be sad to see it go. . . . . . . . 90'sWeb Flashback Template Design by KC8EYT
