Antique Victorian cast iron desk ink well with hinged lid and thick glass insert. The embossed hinged lid reads W.A. CHOATE & CO., ALBANY, N.Y., Apr. 22, 1884. The underneath of the lid shows some of the original cork lining still intact. The thick glass insert shows no cracks or chips. This ink well would sit in the hole of a desk. There is a small hole on the hinged lid for screwing down to the desk. Being sold in as found condition with surfac...e rust, patina.
