Rare Vintage Hurty Double Bit Axe Head Embossed Hackett, Gates & Hurty, Kelly Axe. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Purchased at an estate sale along with a Kelly true temper single bit and a double bit Kelly Black Raven.
Estate sale find rare antique Hurty Hand Made embossed double bit. I purchased the axe head for 380. Axe head double bit is in great condition, axe head is 10 inches long and the blades on both sides are 5 inches, look at photos as they are p...art of description. Axe head has some light pitting and some hammer marks, on the face of the axe head and a little on the embossed stamp. The axe head looks to have never been sharpened. Axe head has a 3 2 stamp on the opposite side and is a 3 and half pound. I think Kelly Axe made these for Hurty hardware, this is the first one I have ever seen in person. Estate sale purchase sold as I found it no returns. Axe head is in very good condition and has a lot of temper left in both blades you can see the darker part of the blades in the photos.
