This is a rare, vintage coin bank by House of Global Art. Dated 1982. It is Dolly Dingle, the doll made popular by Pictorial Review paper dolls. Dolly was designed by Grace G. Drayton, who also designed the Campbell Soup Kids. Made of ceramic, she has golden ringlet hair with a sweet curl on her forehead, a big blue bow, a ruffled white collar on pink dress & big upward glancing eyes, all hand painted in Japan. The top has a coin slot & the bottom ha...s a rubber stopper. Marked has shown on the bottom. The bank is in excellent condition. It has a small glaze pop on the front tip of the blue bow, please see first photo. No other flaws, chips or cracks. Charming and very hard to find!
