Offered is a HUGE Loess Hills Pottery Stoneware Pot by Jerry & Deb Kessler (1952- 2011) RARE!
From my research I believe both Jerry & Deb Kessler died in 2011 so their pottery is no longer made or available in stores. This is a rare piece!
This is an extra large ovoid shaped pot or jar with beautiful color choices. It doesn't have a glossy style glaze but more of a matte looking glaze which is really nice.
The top rim shows some very small air bubbles ...in the glaze - hardly noticeable but can recognize from touching the rim - this is a manufacturers flaw. All other areas are in very good condition without any cracks, pits, or chips - you can tell this is a high quality made piece of pottery.
NOTE: When I found this there was either the numbers "G48" or "648" (pic 7) written on the vase with what I believe was a black crayon type pencil. I tried to get it out with minimal effort & it lightened up a great deal. You may be able to get it all the way out with a more thorough method of cleaning.
Measures 12 3/4" Tall x 11 1/2" at widest w/ a bottom base diameter of 3 3/4".
