Vintage Antique Glass Jar Minnow Trap McSWAIN Jr. BAIT TRAP Jonesboro, ARK
RARE side handle older and harder to find!!
Green Clear Glass Vintage jar in great shape. Has side wire handle built into glass (older version). The metal cap is rusted and the glass under it has rough edges as expected. No cracks. The minnow funnel edge is rough but this is due to the manufacturing process and just proves its vintage age (see info below). Wire handle in good condition - still very sturdy....
BACKGROUND INFO (from Minnowtraps website): The McSwain Minnow Traps
The McSwain bait traps, Jonesboro Arkansas, were made in two different models. The one considered older has a wire handle mounted in the side glass of the jar and a funnel that is roughly blown and sharp. The other model Has a wire bail handle attached to the neck of the jar and a funnel that was molded, then drilled to size like the Camp minnow traps. The McSwain traps have a screw-on lid that is identical to the Camp and Joy traps made by Johnson Glass.
