Today we are pleased to offer for sale a fabulous and rare piece of country store advertising, an antique chrome finished cigar/cigarette cutter.
Fresh from a Massachusetts estate is this wonderful antique country store counter cigar/cigarette cutter advertising "Country Gentleman for 5 c" and "American Thoroughbred for 10 c" by Bennett Sloan and Co. N.Y. It is made of cast metal with a chrome finish & a painted background on the front. This piece was made by "The Brunhoff Mfg Co, Advertising Specialties Cinti O. Pat May 19, 1891." It has a lever on the top that one pushes down after inserting a cigarette or thin cigar in one of two holes on the top.
This piece is in very good, antique condition with wear and patina commensurate with age and use. Overall discoloration to the chrome, needs to be cleaned and perhaps polished. Working condition. Please review all photos before purchasing.
