Sears Exclusive Indianapolis 500 Racer Built In Jacks D Battery Original Box. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
This car is in very good cosmetic condition. I am selling it as found and I am by no means an expert on the subject of toy cars
What you see is exactly what you get please ask lots of questions
When you put the batteries in this car and move the stick shift in the rear it will almost always turn the motor on but there must be some kind of internal... short or something because it doesn’t always workWhen the motor turns on you can hear it running consistently. It sounds fast but doesn’t always engage the tires/wheels/axel Only on occasion does the motor get fast enough to push the car and even then it isn’t very far and doesn’t go fast
I suspect there is something going on with the jacks that is preventing me from being able to make this operate properly
I don’t know how the jacks are intended to work and they seem to be at least partially down all the time and that prevents the car from moving
The tri-wing nuts that hold the wheels on get tight but there still is a lateral play in the wheels. I suspect that it’s supposed to be that way but I am not an expert and perhaps there is an issue of a washer missing or something
 One of the tri-wingnuts has a broken wing and there is an extra nut in the box but it has all three wings broken on it
There is a spare tire in both the front size and the rear size
The tires are in very nice condition
There is a spot on the front right side of the driver that looks like it might be missing our rearview mirror or something
While the windshield is present it does not have any fins to attach ...it is broken
There doesn’t appear to be any damage inside the battery casing however there is a little bit of rust and corrosion on the bottom near the battery casing. There is also some tape residue on the bottom
The red light inside the dash does light up when this is operating
The battery door works fine it has some corrosion on it as well but it might be a little bit looseIf you look at the 11th picture you will notice that it is a split screen between the inside of the two front tire hubsThe drivers right side tire seems to be held with an original piece but the drivers left side tire appears to have a machine screw and washer operating as the axle
While I can’t say that this car is in perfect cosmetic condition as far as paint goes the top side does not seem to have any major flaws. There is a tiny scuff here in there
The box that is included is the correct size and appears to be a period correct box so that makes me suspect that it is the box that this was sold in originally. Unfortunately it is just the bottom and no top and has tape and torn spots on it
This does include the steering remote that seems to be in Perfectly good condition though it does show some dark spots, perhaps corrosion or grease
There are two pieces that were included in this box that I will include with the sale because I can’t say for certain that they don’t belong to this vehicle but I suspect heavily that they don’t. One is a black square piece of plastic probably approximately 3 1/2 inches and the other is a 3 x 7“ piece of yellow metal
I imagine this will be a little bit of a project for whoever is buying it but it is in excellent condition for someone with some knowledge to rehab
