Sterling Silver Antique Nor(?) Cigarette Case w Enamelled Romantic Scene 107g This is a superior case of good weight and quality; it will make a wonderful addition to the collection. It is marked with stamps that appear to be Scandinavian, either Iceland or Norway. We favour Norway though we can’t be definitive. It has an elegant early 20th century style with very simple lines. It has a wonderful hand-enamelled front cover; a period romantic scene in open parkland. A young shepherd ...is wooing pretty girl while his dog and sheep are at hand. The rear cover has a fine mesh engine milled patter. The interior has an antique gilt wash. The ciggie retaining band is missing. The case is in very good antique condition with commensurate light wear; light scuffing and impact dimpling to the rear cover. It has a good warm antique patina.
