Rare...lightweight and airy and one can feel the metal fibers in its texture....stunning! One must have this in hand to full appreciate.
Please read "Condition Description" above.....This is probably the loveliest lace I have ever had in my possession. It is so delicate and fine with the most beautiful patina - sparkling with the ultra fine, flat gold metal threads woven throughout the lace featuring floral/leaf motifs. The entire fragment is of pure metal fibers a...nd is straight from France. The gold threads outlining the flowers may possibly have a small amount of real gold fiber content. This is handmade, since after comparing the flower pattern, no two are alike. I cannot stress its beauty. It has so many creative uses....one for the collector of exquisite lace trim.....I believe that one will be very pleased. A treasure indeed.
This measures approximately 20" x 5" .
This absolutely stunning lace has approximately 6 (six) full flower motifs. There are no rips or tears. Photos have been taken in natural light with no flash.
