RimRock: 5.15 Lbs Polished HAMPTON BUTTE PETRIFIED WOOD Full Round End Cut DescriptionI got this from an old collection. This material comes from Central Oregon near Hampton Butte and is what they call a replacement wood which, as a rule, has no wood grain visible.
This piece is an end cut and a full round with an excellent polish. It has nice green and brown patterns in varying shades with clear and white agate mixed in and a layer of crystals on an outside edge of a cor...ner. I see some small vugs and some hairline fractures, but it's solid. It will be a great display specimen that will sit nicely in a stand.
It measures, at its widest:
10" x 6-3/4" x 1/2" to 2"
Weight: 5 lbs, 2.4 oz
