Giant 30 " Stanley No 34 Transitional Plane All - From @1892 - 1900

This is the rare No 34 transitional plane, the largest plane Stanley ever made at 30" total length, weight almost 10lbs. This particular plane doesn't fit exactly with the types I found in my research, but there's an 1892 date on the iron (pat applied for, the 1992 is a typo), and a left-hand thread on the adjustment nut, so it is post-1892 but pre- 1912 patents. I suspect it was made in the transition to the 1892 models.
I have left the plane exactly as I found it, I cl...eaned it for the photos. There is a bit of gunk/surface rust on the lever cap etc., but I don't want to brush it all off because I think the plane displays well as-is. I did brush the iron and chip-breaker to read the stampings. Sharp enough to make some curls but I didn't try to hone it nor make any adjustments. The body of the plane is straight and square to my eye, finish is original. The original finish is not worn off the bottom, so this plane has practically never been used. I bought this from a gentleman who owned it for decades but it had fallen behind his workbench and he forgot he owned it until he cleaned up his shop.
