Redline MX-II RARE Old School Vintage BMX Bike 1979.
This Bike was the cream of the crop back in its day. I’m the original owner and have had this bike put away for many years. I was a very competitive racer back in the day and won many trophies over the years. I will give some of the trophies away with the bike (If wanted) with local pickup.
I want to be very clear about everything on this bike.<...br>
This bike has been raced!! It has its share of character marks and scuffs. I have not restored it. It’s still in good condition for its age. It could be brought back to AMAZING condition with some TLC.
The bike has no major issues as far as frame breaks or cracks, just typical racing scuffs and a couple minor spots of rust that could be buffed out. Decals all original and aged. The pedals have some road tar that could be removed with some elbow grease. The pedals are also slightly dented in on the sides and could easily be bent back out.
The back brake center pull cable needs replaced. I used wire for years while racing and never did replace it. Not sure why. Lol… The brakes work fine just as is. There is one single spoke missing from the front wheel and one single spoke missing from the rear wheel.
This bike is from the era where it was cool to have custom parts on your bike to make it unique to you personally. I think we all had preferences as to what was the best at the time.
