Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Sherman, Vintage, Late 1950's - Yellow AB Color - Round and Marquise Shaped Crystals - Three Leaf Openwork Triangle Cluster Motif Brooch. RARE DESIGN! - EXCELLENT CONDITION! - NO RESERVE! This handsome and impressive brooch dates from the late 1950's, made by the well known Canadian firm of "Sherman" designed as an large sized 2" by 2" three leaf openwork triangle shaped cluster layered and stacked for a 3-D effect. The broo...ch is done in a series of dazzling and intense lilac flashed yellow AB color round and marquise shaped crystals set in a gold plated setting.
The brooch is in excellent condition showing normal wear, all the original stones, none missing or replaced. There is a very small loss to the finish or plating on the back of the brooch, this is minor, does not detract and common with Sherman's gold plated pieces. The brooch is marked on the back, Sherman on a small gold oval.
SHERMAN Sherman was a Canadian costume jewelry company that produced very high-quality pieces. Colorful or clear prong-set rhinestones or cut crystal beads (sometimes with an aurora borealis finish) adorn most Sherman pieces; the metal is rhodium-plated or gold-plated.
