Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Sherman, Vintage, Early 1950's - Deep Purple and Lilac Color - Square, Round and Pear Shaped Crystals - Figural Double Daisy Window Box Motif Brooch and Earring Set. EXTREMELY RARE EARLY SHERMAN DESIGN & COLOR COMBINATION!
MINT CONDITION! - NO RESERVE! This gay and very whimsical set dates from the early 1950's, made by the well known Canadian firm of "Sherman" designed as an medium size 1.5" by 1.25" window box clus...ter detailed with large and small figural daisies at opposite corners and layered and stacked for a 3-D effect. The set is done in a series of dazzling and intense deep purple and lilac color square, round and pear shaped crystals set in a rhodium plated setting. The brooch comes with a pair of 1" window cox and daisy cluster earrings that are an exact match to the central details in the brooch.
The set is in mint condition showing very minimal use, all the original stones, none missing or replaced with no loss to the finish or plating on the back of the brooch or earrings. The brooch is marked on the back, Sherman on a small silver oval - the earrings are not marked but are an exact match to the central details in the brooch.SHERMAN Sherman was a Canadian costume jewelry company that produced very high-quality pieces. Colorful or clear prong-set rhinestones or cut crystal beads (sometimes with an aurora borealis finish) adorn most Sherman pieces; the metal is rhodium-plated or gold-plated.
