Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Sherman, Vintage, Late 1950's - Champagne Topaz and Topaz AB Color - Round and Marquise Shaped Crystals - 2.5" Wide - Scalloped Border Lace Motif Openwork Cluster Bracelet. BOOK PIECE! - EXTREMELY RARE DESIGN & COLOR COMBINATION!
MINT CONDITION! - NO RESERVE! This handsome and very impressive bracelet dates from the late 1950's, made by the well known Canadian firm of "Sherman" designed as 2.5" wide lace motif openwo...rk cluster bracelet featuring a deep scalloped border of graduated marquise shaped crystals. The bracelet is done in a series of dazzling and intense champagne topaz and topaz AB color round and marquise shaped crystals set in a gold plated setting.
The bracelet measures 7" in length with a width of 2.5".
The bracelet, in this color and various color combinations, can be seen on page 213 of the new Yallen and Caldwell Sherman book - "Sherman Jewellery - The Masterpiece Collection". The bracelet is in mint condition showing very minimal use, all the original stones, none missing or replaced with no loss to the finish or plating on the back of the bracelet. The bracelet is marked on the back - twice, Sherman in script letters on a small gold square and Sherman on the back of the clasp.
SHERMAN Sherman was a Canadian costume jewelry company that produced very high-quality pieces. Colorful or clear prong-set rhinestones or cut crystal beads (sometimes with an aurora borealis finish) adorn most Sherman pieces; the metal is rhodium-plated or gold-plated. "Jewels of Elegance" by Sherman was written on some carded Sherman jewelry. Sherman produced jewelry from 1947-1981. As I usually do I'm offering this item at a LOW opening with NO RESERVE.
