People's Army of Vietnam (NVA) and VC Leather Belt with Star Brass BuckleThis is an early example of the leather belts made in the People's Republic of China (PRC) for both the NVA and VC. I say early, because they eventually realized that the canvas belts lasted far longer in the jungle combat conditions in Vietnam than the ones in leather. This belt has the correct cast brass buckle with star, is pliable and supple, and has evidence that the wearer provided his own sizing holes for b...etter fit. As well, the wearer - with the 26" waste of a supermodel - also ran some string through the belt to secure it in the ideal size, not wanting to rely on the leather keepers (which were free to slide). In short, this example speaks for itself and is untouched from when it was taken from the battlefield. If you want an early, field worn NVA/VC belt to fit a 26" waist, look no further. Even during the war, these were a hot barter item between grunts and rear echelon personnel. Don't let this one get away! USPS20
