Antique 19th Century Qing Dynasty Chinese robe, perhaps wedding robe. Red silk ground embroidered with florals and auspicious symbols rendered in both satin and forbidden stitch. Forbidden stitch peonies finely outlined in gold couched thread, indicative of quality. White & blue florals along borders. Highly detailed and unusual sleeve bands of flowered vases and interiors rendered completely in a very fine forbidden stitch. Lined in blue silk.
Good... antique condition. Some areas of wear. Slight splits at creases on sleeve bands. Some areas of slight marks or discoloration. Some missing closures. Please see photos for condition and details and message with any questions.
