For auction is a wonderful art glass lighting shade made by the Quezal Art Glass and Decorating Company of Maspeth (Queens), Long Island New York. The shade is designed to fit into a wall sconce or satellite shade in a multi light chandelier. These are also used in lamp bases with a 2 1/4" fitter cup. The shade stands approximately 5 9/16" tall and has a diameter of 4 5/8". The fitter neck is 2 1/8" and will fit into any standard 2 1/4" fitter.This shade has a unique high sho...ulder shape with a deep ruffled bottom or floriform (flower form) edge. This shade is decorated with a beautiful Blue Hooked Feather pattern on a calcite white body with a gold iridescence interior. The blue hooked feather pattern extends 3/4 of the way down the shade and the blue feathers are outlined in gold to complete the balance of this wonderful set.The shade is signed "Quezal" in the fitter collar. There is a crack in the shade that starts at the shoulder and curves at an angle to the bottom. This shade is being sold "As Is". It has been professionally glued and should hold. I have had it for some 4 years now and it is still together. It has been shown at shows and is still intact. This shade displays well and with the use of an LED bulb it can last another 100 years at a substantially lower cost. One of these shades by itself can bring $400-$500. If you get sets of 3 or higher they go for $750 each or $2250 for the set.
PLEASE READ BELOWI want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of the year 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for.They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 11.7% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 11.7%. This is an increase of 8.8% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 11.7% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
