Original Description:
An original Connecticut Pay Table Committee document used to pay Revolutionary War soldier Enoch Merriman 46 Pounds, eleven shillings and 2 pence, the money that he was owed as of January 1, 1782, signed by the soldier.  Approximately 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" in size, fold lines, otherwise excellent condition.  The military finances for the colony of Connecticut were handled by the  Pay-Table, also known as the Committee of Four.  Pay Table members rotated during the ear and... included such notables as jurist Oliver Ellsworth, attorney Olilver Wolcott, Jr., a future Secretary of the Treasury, Hezekiah Rogers , an aide de camp to General Jedediah Huntington, who was also a member, William Moseley, Fenn Wadsworth, Eleazer Wales  and General Samuel Wyllys, son of Governor George Wyllys.  Some of the documents are also signed by John Lawrence who was Treasurer of Connecticut.  We are full time autograph and document dealers and membersof the Manuscript Society.  Payments must be by PayPal.   We will combine shipping on multiple purchases.  (821C)
