Sony AV 3600 Videocorder Helical Scan B&W Reel-to-Reel - USED - AS IS. Condition is "Used".
Vintage SONY AV-3600 Solid State Videocorder! Super rare! This is a nice unit overall. Powers on, pinch roller moves freely, all buttons seem to work. Rewinds, however only the pinch roller spins with play and fast forward. Comes with the RF Unit. No power cord included. Comes exactly as shown. This unit is sold AS IS. No returns. Last I used it (in late 2019), the unit produced B&W picture. Not sure about audio as I have not needed to test that. However, the strength of the uptake spindle was lacking. Depending on the heft of your reel, the uptake spindle may or may not have the strength to handle spinning your tape reel on its own. For my projects, I ended up having to assist the uptake reel by helping it spin, using my finger.
If you know how to rehab and strengthen the uptake reel spindle on this unit, you will be in good shape. If not, I have at least given you fair warning about its condition and limitations.
