Hello, Upfor sale is a rare and desirable vintage Sony XL-44L low output2-channel moving coil phono cartridge. These sold from 1980 to 1984for $180.00. The XL-44L features a nude square shank super (or“hyper” if you prefer) diamond stylus mounted to a hollow heattreated tapered aluminum cantilever. Sony called their patented aircore, low mass, low hysteresis, and low distortion armature coiltopology used in the XL-44L “Figure 8”. The XL-44L also used ahigh-efficiency rare earth... ring type magnetic circuit.
