You are bidding on a Western Electric type 285CInput transformer. It is in nice cleancondition with good windings, and a nice Western Electric decal. All terminals show good continuity, so itis a good usable transformer. Thespecifications are for 500:80, 000 ohms with a low side DC resistance of 48.7ohms with inductance of 9.5H, and 25:80, 000 ohms with DC resistance of 3480ohms. The frequency range is 100 to8, 000 cps. Most of the leads areshi...elded. It is not dated, but isbelieve to be made in the early 1940s, based on the Western Electric audio item it camefrom. In size, it measures about 1 ¾inches square, and is 3 ¼ inches tall. It is guaranteed be a great quality usable transformer for your WEaudio project. Shipping weight is 2pounds.
