Gates CB-501 turntable with Gates tonearm and mono tube preamplifier.
This turntable a very nice restauration project. only motor phono preamp transformer are guaranteed
The motor is guaranteed 100% operational and work well, also the phono preamp transformer is operational
The idler wheel look in very good condition, the bearing is un good condition, the platter turn easely. I don't know if the speeds 33, 45, 78 are perfectly syncronized, ...if there is a need for adjustment. The 33, 45, 78 rpm mechanism speed shift works well
The tonearm is well balanced, but need wired, also need metal weights to adjust to the weight of the cartridge (easy to find or make) also the the needle of cartridge is broken
The mercure switch on of to start motor work well
The preamplifier need to be connected, I don't have the shematic, so it was not checked, but the transformer is guarenteed
the riaa rotary switch is broken, but it is very easy to find this 3 ways modelplease see pics
