The 12AX7 small signal tube. 10 watts per channel--all youneed with the highest quality high efficiency speakers. If you needmore power than this, you don't have great speakers. Can be operated withor without the included 'cage'. Includes two sets of knobs--silver orblack. 4 ohm and 8 ohm gold plated metal terminals. Twoinputs with selector. Dual voltage: 115 volts or 230volts. Parts are chosen for the best possible sound quality--notbecause we want to impress you with 'boutique' names. Each amplifier isbeautifully hand assembled and tested. To maintain the superb sound, there are no adjustments to be made--ever. Self biasing, no AC or DCbalance to adjust. And made with the fewest parts possible and bestsounding tubes. This is a 'straight power amplifier with a volumecontrol'. There is NO preamplifier inside, just a passive linestage. A $10, 000 preamplifier can't sound better than no preamplifier atall. No separate preamp is needed. Just connect any 'line level'source, like CD, DAC, Tuner, Tape directly to the A or B input.
