LuigiFabris (1883-1952) is a well-known Italian porcelain artist born in Bassanonear Venice. He attended the Academy of Venice studying sculpture and wassuccessful in this field. In 1918, following the end of World War I, he movedto Milan where he opened a factory to produce ceramics. He became highlysuccessful and soon his work was being exported worldwide. His factory wasdestroyed by bombs during World War II in 1942. In 1946 he returned to his homeof Bassano and opened a new factory....Thisgorgeous figurine portrays a lovely lady wearing lace dress and putting her arms around the branches of tree blossoming with delicate yellow, lavender and pink flowers. There is a bloomingtree right behind her. What is absolutely amazing that the figurine is in pristine condition: as far as I can tellthere is no damage to the lace and the flowers.
