Vintage hawaiian hula girl. Condition is "Used".HAWAII 1950s Original JULENE MECHLER FIGURINE 6-3/4" Ceramic BEAUTIFUL HULA GIRLWith green skirt and floral green top.Red flower in hair is intact, no fingers broken. 3 flea bites on the bottom of skirt as pictured. Crazed ceramic for its age its in beautiful condition. Her face is exquisite.
Julene Mechler (1912-2005) was a Hawaiian commerical artist and sculptor who created a range of ceramic figurines based on her sculptures. Th...e figurines were made during the 1950s and 60s, and are highly collectible today. Each model was cast and hand-painted by Mechler herself, and the range features a cast of native Hawaiian characters.
