Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Sherman, Vintage, Late 1950's - Charcoal and Purple AB Color - Round and Marquise Shaped Crystals - Border Detail Floral Cluster Motif Necklace and Earring Set. VERY RARE COLOR COMBINATION DESIGN! - MINT CONDITION! - NO RESERVE! This handsome and very impressive set dates from the late 1950's, made by the well known Canadian firm of "Sherman" designed as a row of small and medium size round shaped crystals featur...ing a centered section of five floral and leaf clusters with the floral clusters accented with border detais of small crystals and layered and stacked for a 3-D effect. The set is done in a series of dazzling and intense charcoal and purple AB color round and marquise shaped crystals set in a rhodium plated setting. The necklace measures 13" in length with a 3" extension chain for a total length of 16" and comes with a pair of .75" floral cluster earrings that are an exact match to the central details in the necklace.
The set is in mint condition showing minimal wear, all the original stones, none missing or replaced with no loss to the finish or plating on the back of the necklace or earrings. The necklace is marked on the back of the center section, Sherman in script letters on a small silver square and Sherman on the back of the ear clips. SHERMAN Sherman was a Canadian costume jewelry company that produced very high-quality pieces. Colorful or clear prong-set rhinestones or cut crystal beads (sometimes with an aurora borealis finish) adorn most Sherman pieces; the metal is rhodium-plated or gold-plated. "Jewels of Elegance" by Sherman was written on some carded Sherman jewelry. Sherman produced jewelry from 1947-1981. As I usually do I'm offering this item at a LOW opening with NO RESERVE.
