Up for auction with no reserve is this antique oil on canvas of a group of sailing ships. This impressionist painting was done by listed artist Herman Niemeier and is likely from the 1800s or turn of the 20th Century. The illustration of the ships’ reflections on the water enhances the attractiveness of this work. The artist’s signature can be seen at the lower right corner “H. Niemeier”.This painting is being sold in AS-IS condition due to some slits in the canvas which can be... seen in photos number 5, 6 and 7. Otherwise, the painting is not bad for its age and can likely be repaired.The dimensions of the canvas are 31 by 24 inches and the frame measures just shy of 35 by 28 inches.
