Up for Auction with NO RESERVE is a very nice c1880 S Kirk & Son Sterling Silver Pedestal Lidded Sugar Bowl. The Sugar Bowl is part of an incredible estate collection of Silver and Glass that we are proud to be offering this week over 4 nights.
This auction is for a very Rare Antique S Kirk & Son Sterling Silver Lidded Sugar Bowl. The Sugar Bowl is a very Rare example in the Castle pattern The Sugar Bowl is fully marked for the very famous S Kirk & Son Silver Company along with 925/1000 dating it from 1868-1896. The Sugar Bowl features Castle or Landscape Repousse designs throughout all much nicer than my photos show.
The Sugar Bowl is in excellent condition for the age with some minor signs of use and age but no large dents and no cracks or holes. The Sugar Bowl is a great size for display and perfect for modern use as a Sugar Bowl or Tea Caddy Jar, measuring 8-1/4 inches tall by 6-1/2 inches wide overall. The Sugar Bowl is also very thick Sterling Silver throughout with a hefty weight of 605 grams.
