Seiko Sea Lion C22 Diashock Vintage Mens Watch Hand - Wind Fine Rare

This is a rare Sea Lion C22. Calibre no. 6602-7020. Caseback number (7N0719) dates its production to November 1967.
It's been well-worn; the case is practically satin-finished with all the knocks and bashes it's had, but a good polish should sort all that out!Happily new acrylic crystals are still available on this platform for this model, and the watch would certainly benefit from one. There's a nasty crack as well as the usual scratches etc. Hopefully you can see all this from my ...photos anyway, which form part of the description. The final image shows a faint "cloud" discolouration on the dial 1/3 of the way out from the centre towards the calendar aperture. V hard to see through the glass, but I'm sure it's on the dial!
There's a nasty, ill-fitting Citizen bracelet fitted to it at the moment (I'm really selling this well, aren't I??!!) which needs pulling off and replacing with a nice black leather strap, IMHO.
I wound it and set it to time this morning, before starting out on another photography saga of today's offerings. The watch was fully run down (always a good sign!) and continues to tick away happily, keeping good time. My uncle the watchmaker "checked" it in 1980, whatever that means!! It'll certainly need another clean now!
