Vintage Standard Fuel Table Style Japanese Round "Ceramic Grenade Look" Polished Steel Table Lighter. Japan stamped on flat spot on bottom of lighter:(Looks very similar and probably copied from the WWII Japanese Imperial Army/Navy Type 4 "Pinapple" Ceramic Throwing Device. Fuel stored in round body stuffed with cotton. Filler opening unscrews at top of round body.Striker wheel is activated when release lever is pressed and wick cover pops up. New st...andard flint installed. Top striker unit is removed and broken down in last two photos to show details. We have not filled the fluid reservoir with fluid because of shipping restrictions.Lighter still works. Leaf spring on release lever needs occasional adjustment to hold top flip up wick cover down.Dimensions: Approximately 2-1/8" diameter x 3-1/4" tallThis is a nice example of this vintage lighter and an excellent conversation piece. We have never see another like it!It would look good on anyones coffee table for use, although it is being sold primarily as a vintage collectable.
