Parker Duofold CP5 Classic Pens Sterling Silver Vintage / Modern Limited Edition Fountain Pen Set

The Parker Duofold CP5 Celebration pens from 1999 pay homage to the original Duofold of the 1920s, as well as to its modern expression. Therefore, the edition was offered in two distinct but complimentary forms of the Centennial, the CP5 Vintage and the CP5 Modern. T...he pens were meant to have a limited run of 1888pcs each, but on 500pcs of each were actually created.
The CP5 Vintage (edition 369 of 1888), with its straight form, celebrates the famous Lucky Curve Duofold pens of the 1920s.The CP5 Modern (edition 553 of 1888 – NOTE, although only 500pcs were created, I cannot explain why this edition is 553.), with its tapered ends, symbolises the rebirth of this famous name in the current Parker range.The caps and barrels of the CP5 Duofold pens are completely covered in sterling silver and are adorned with a gold plated trim. The cap tassie, cap band and barrel button are crafted out of solid sterling silver. Both pens come with a medium tip 18k gold nib.
Both pens have been kept in an original parker box (please note, certificate and original box is not provided). The pens have natural patina and you may want to polish the pens. They have never been inked or dipped. The box is in good condition although the interior does show signs of age.
