Looking for the perfect Christmas gift for the hunter or collector ?
Here's a fine example of a VINTAGE CHESAPEAKE BAY SNEAK BOAT REPLICA fitted with a two-inch bore punt gun. Original construction for the gun stock was cut from walnut and a barrel made from seamless boiler pipe were common materials for most large bore punt guns. The gunner would lay down behind this massive gun and use "hand paddles" to sneak up on rafting ducks and geese. The recoil was controlled by rope br...eeching around the bow of the skiff and the gun sliding on a tethered rest. Large numbers of birds were taken with one shot.
The boat is 21" long X 6" wide, and is complete with 6 decoys, hand paddles, shotgun and a stand. It's been antiqued and distressed to simulate many years of use. A must-have for any Chesapeake Bay hunter, collector or enthusiast. Like all of my work, this is not a kit, built one piece at a time taking many hours.

Several of my models can be seen on display at the Ducks Unlimited Waterfowl Heritage center at the "Pyramid" in Memphis Tennessee.
This "Big Gun / Punt Gun" will display nicely with your decoy collection and hunting & fishing collectibles.
