I have a large collection of Berlin Woolwork patterns for sale, some unusual, and later on I will be selling similar items, but French.
The first auction is for 1 mid 19th c German pattern, printed with the company name.
I will be doing a few listings today, and am happy to combine postage.
Please note that I am in France right now so postage prices are from La Poste, which is more expensive than UK post.The prices I quote for sending to the UK are basic with no in...surance or tracking. If you want a better service ( which I would recommend as the Christmas post is starting and things do not always end up where they should), please ask me for a quote.
If I overcharge I always refund the excess.
This is a really vibrantly coloured and designed pattern, certainly not one I have seen before.
As a collector of Antique fans, I cannot help but see the fan leaf shape! I suppose this then creates a floral leaf if the pattern is repeated below. Large size, on thick paper, a few nicks to the edges but not the design, the previous owner named in spidery handwriting in ink, top left, and numbered 2126 to the top right."Berlin bei L.W. Size within dark border of the graph approx. 17 inches or 43cm by 9.25 inches or 23.5cm. Plenty of border if you want to frame, at the sides its folded under.
