I have a large collection of Berlin Woolwork patterns for sale, some unusual, and later on I will be selling similar items, but French.
This auction is for 3 mid 19th c German patterns, all printed with the company name, and address Noted as being retailed by Wilks of Regent street ( London).All printed and hand coloured, on thick paper.
I will be doing a few listings today, and am happy to combine postage.
Please note th...at I am in France right now so postage prices are from La Poste, which is more expensive than UK post.The prices I quote are basic with no insurance or tracking. If you want a better service ( which I would recommend as the Christmas post is starting and things do not always end up where they should), please ask me for a quote.
If I overcharge I always refund the excess.
Firstly, a pattern with 9 variants, for corners and features and edges/borders. Numbered 2016 in the top right corner.Approx. 7.5 inches or 19cm by 4.5 inches or 11.5 cm within the dark lines. Tear to the bottom edge of the plain outer border, corners turned in a tiny bit. Used but clean. No. 1946
Secondly, two wide borders, the bright blue one with white snowflakes, the other one resembling the style of a garden maze. Within the dark border, approx. 7.25 inches or 18.5 cm by 4.5 inches or 11.5 cm.
Thirdly, pattern # 550, two floral borders and one with leaves and berries.Approx. 7 and 1/8 inches or 18 cm by 4.25 inches or 11cm.
This one has a light splattering of white paint as if a paintbrush has been flicked at an inopportune time! Some tears to the outer plain border.
