Original Description:
This hand loomed shawl is quite stunning.   I am assuming it was made in Norwich, England in the mid 19th century.  A wonderful all over pattern with pink and blue boteh dating from around 1850.   Made of silk, parts of it are appearing to be a bit fragile with weakness in the silk, and there are 6 holes when you hold it up to the light.  There are 2 matching brown stains about 2 square inches where it has been folded, they mirror each other.  Please see my other listings - I have another... shawl. It measures 100 inches by 39 inches (254cm x 100cm) - plus fringe   Nice lightweight shawl, weighs 291 grams.    It is not dirty and it does not smell of anything!!!   Photos do not do it justice, my husband hates taking photos of fabrics and anything like this!!         Please see our other items, always happy to ship items together to save you money!
