This beautiful Mola with an abstract pattern was made by the Cuna Indians (sometimes spelled Kuna) along the Caribbean Coast of Panama. A mola is a reverse-applique art form that replaced body tattoos when the missionaries banned them during colonial times. I acquired it in 1994 while sailing along that coast from the woman who made it. I now find I have more molas than wall space, so it is available. The mola is 14" x 11", and the frame is NOT included.
