Below we find a tambour cupboardwhich I have never seen on a piece like this, its flanked either side by twodrawers eachMoving to the base section we start with a secrataire desk which houses noless than 20 drawers, each one with the original handles, the whole pieceslides out as you would expect, the front folds out with the use of the twodepression buttons on either sideBelow the secrataire we have a knee hole desk formation, 4 drawers eitherside, a lockable cupboard door (key not present) and a hidden drawer just above, I have never seen another bookcase / desk like this, it screams quality and highcraftsmanship, fully restored in a gallery setting this is easily a £15, 000pieceCondition wise there are various age-related imperfections, it is around240 years old so we can forgive it some vices. The tambour door on the left hasa split and is missing its handle. The left top door has one small and onelarge crack in separate pieces of glass, otherwise its totally fine and periodoriginal.
