Three volumes of Herbert Hoover's The Memoirs of Herbert Hoover. Please review pictures carefully as well as my description. Ask questions - I'm not a collector. I am selling some of my husband's books, some of which belonged personally to his grandfather, Forrest Davis (Saturday Evening Post editor during WWII era).
Two of these volumes ("Years of Adventure" and "The Cabin...et and the Presidency") are personally inscribed to Forrest Davis (see note about) and signed by Hoover. The other volume ("The Great Depression") is not signed.
Please note the following details about each individual volume:
"1874-1920: Years of Adventure" - This copy is personally inscribed and signed to Forrest Davis from Herbert Hoover. The Copyright page notes that it is the fifth printing, 1951. Binding is tight. There is discoloration to pages, which simply reflects the age of the book.
"1920-1933: The Cabinet and the Presidency" - This copy is personally inscribed and signed to Forrest Davis from Herbert Hoover. The Copyright page notes that it is the first printing, 1951, 1952. Binding is tight. There is discoloration to pages, which simply reflects the age of the book.
"1929-1491: The Great Depression" - This copy is NOT inscribed or signed. The Copyright page notes that it is the first printing, 1952. Binding is tight. There is discoloration to pages, which simply reflects the age of the book.
