Offered for sale is a vintage Alpex Deluxe Swivel Flash Gun (B.C. type) for a fan bulb camera. The item is very old but still in decent shape. Leather case is rough but add to the vintage appeal of this flash gun. It is the deluxe model and a B. C. Type unit that was Made in Japan and imported by Alpex. It originally sold for under ten bucks at a high end, full service department store and is ca. 1950s. It consists of a cream color plastic body with metal parts. It ha...s an ingenious design, allowing the reflector sections to fan out, creating a backdrop for the lighting, and when done, they fold back into place, making this a pocket size unit that fits into its leather case. The case has a carry handle as well as cuts in the back so it can be threaded onto a belt. It snaps shut and has the Alpex logo embossed on the flap. It is a heavy item and it is roughly 4 ½" by 1 ¾".
