Up for auction is a very large antique bronze steam locomotive bell with it's original cast iron yoke. The bell measures 17" wide and 13" tall. With the yoke it is 29" tall. The bell has the number 2156 stamped twice on the bell. There are 2 holes for bolting the bell on the engine. There are 2 areas that look to have been repaired but it was only on the surface and not clear through the entire bell. There are no markings on the bell or the yoke that identifies it to a company. The cla...pper is very heavy and makes a very loud noise! The person I purchased the bell from told me it came from somewhere in Western Michigan. That's all the history I have on the bell. It is mounted on a wheeled cart and is easy to move around. Still a great collectible as these are very hard to find. Please see attached photos for a better description. This is a pick-up only sale.
