Description A beautiful large English antique 19th Century Victorian solid sterling silver & cranberry glass double-ended scent/perfume bottle by the regarded silversmiths Sampson Mordan & Co and dating from around 1880. Excellent quality genuine 140 year old example; a nice large size ...with decorative engraved solid silver mounted ends, one end is a hinged silver flip-top lid with interior glass seal and the other is a screw lid. There are no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms.Measurements Measures approx 4.9 inches (122mm) in length x 1.15 inches (29mm) in diameter.Date English antique 19th Century Victorian solid sterling silver unmarked as is quite usual with this kind, fully tested and 100% guaranteed antique solid sterling silver. Dates from around 1870-1890.Maker Has a gilded makers name under the glass seal stamped "Sampson Mordan & Co, London". Condition Lovely condition with no splits or repairs to the silver and no nasty knocks or dents, just a couple of little surface dents/bruises, but really nothing much and a very nice example. The decorative engraved silver ends open and close/screw up securely and the beautiful cranberry glass bottle is in excellent condition with no nasty chips or cracks and is a stunning colour and still very clear.
