Pictured above is a hard to find vintage 1965 ZIPPO SLIM LIGHTER featuring the Submarine Tender USS FULTON. The lighter is in very good condition and untested as it will need both fuel and flint. There is a small flaw at the bottom front of the lid that can be seen in one of the close-up photos above. There are two tiny dents on the back edge above and below the henge that also can be seen in the photos (lighting makes them look worse than they are). The origina...l box is included and shows wear with tears at the corners of the lid and the original pamphlet has some stains. The FULTON was commissioned on September 12, 1941 and served during WWII and was decommissioned d on April 3, 1947. She was recommissioned for post-war duty on April 10, 1951 and decommissioned again on September 30, 1991. I also have his original USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN Jacket PATCH and more ZIPPO LIGHTERS in my other auctions.
