For sale here is this superb pair of French Sevres style porcelain and ormolu vases and covers. The vases look very impressive and the quality is excellent.The porcelain vases have cobalt blue grounds wit...h gilding and some jewelling. The reserved panels to the front are hand-painted with romantic scenes of courting couples. The panels to the back are painted with flowers. The vases have beautiful, ormolu, mask handles depicting women with plumed headdresses and the covers have artichoke finials.The vases measure 12 inches high and are in very good antique condition. I think that one of the lids has had a professional repair in the past, because the inside seems to have been painted, but it looks very good. There are a few little bits of jewelling missing.
