Let's start 2021 with a BANG!! Yes, you can believe your eyes! An actual round from "The African Well Log", of mid 2000's fame! It was found around 2005 in Zimbabwe, by villagers who were hand digging a water well. They recognized its' value and sold it to a fossil buyer. This was way before the market was inundated by African wood. It then made its' way to the Tucson and Quartzite shows in 2007. It was the talk of the show! The best of it was bought by a collector/dealer, who cut, pol...ished, and resold it. It then disappeared into individual collectors hands. At least, that is the story as I know it. And now this one is for sale here on eBay. Beautiful round of petrified Woodworthia. Cut, and polished in the USA! It comes out of one of the finest collections of petrified wood in the Northwest! Perfect, liquid, glassy polish. Preservation is perfect, and is wonderful and outstanding under the microscope. Features beautiful agate in shades of emerald green, amber, and orange-cream. And small dendrites. And a couple of neat little fortifications, also. Colors look better in hand then the pictures show. This is an exquisite gem of a round! The only one I have for sale, and you may never see another one! Great size. 4 1/4 x 3 3/4 x 3/8". I have been collecting wood for 30 years, and this is a real nice piece.
