Araucarioxylon, common name, Dadoxylon, is a rare and beautiful form of one of the oldest tree forms found in the Permian layer. We are talking 220 Million years ago and before there were dinosaurs! This fine speciman was found in the Lockhart Basin area of Utah, just south of Moab and just outside of the Canyonlands National Monument. It will make a great addition to any serious collectors display case. And, the great thing about it is that you do not have to t...ravel to Africa to locate one like it. 12" X 6" X 1 1/4" and weighs a little over 5 pounds. It is also an end cut, which most collectors prefer over a flat slab. It has been lightly stabilized to heal a central crack.
