Hard to find, Uranium Metal. Condition is "Used". Was purchased from a very credible source, United Nuclear. They’re almost always sold out of this particular piece! It is a small metal chunk of refined U-238 inside a glass capsule. Sits at 1/4” high by 1 1/4” long. The Geiger counter used in the picture does not measure alpha radiation but is showing the spicy decay chain radioisotopes that produce beta and gamma since U-238’s alpha radiation wouldn’t make it past the glass ...to detect. There is a very small hair sized 1/4” scratch on the glass capsule that is only noticeable at a small angle. It’s a unique and exciting possession for any nuclear physics lover.
